Craft

For the sake of providing *amusement* to my readers, I have a funny little conversation to share. Here goes:

Little Jimmy (staring in the door of the fridge): This says "project."
Me: What are you talking about?
LJ: This says "project." Can we do the project? PLLEEEAAASSE!
Me (finally seeing what he's pointing at): Honey, that's just a bottle of salad dressing; it's to put on food. It's really not to play with.
LJ: No, see right here (pointing clearly at the label)? It says "P-R-O-J-E-C-T." That means it's a project we can do, Mom.
Me: No, Jimmy, that says "Kraft;" it's a brand of salad dressing.
LJ: Ya, so can we do a craft?

OK, so I was pretty slow in figuring out his reasoning, but once I finally got there, I found it VERY amusing.

What a better "craft" than making a salad. It makes perfect sense to me. Can it be that I think too much like a kid? :)

Well, he didn't actually spell it (maybe I should remove the dashes), he just said it loudly and slowly for me (kind of like we were speaking different languages and I needed clarification). But yes, I so should have taken him up on the idea of making some salad art ;) Maybe tonight!

Heck yea, and maybe we could get him to make some chicken and potato art too! I can see it now...you relaxing on the couch (perhaps knitting??) and directing Jimmy's craft project from there. Before you know, he'll have made you some dinner ;)
